How to effectively stack coupons at target

Living in upstate New York, we don't have the luxury of Publix and Piggly Wiggly's double and triple coupon policies.  To save the most, I have been taking advantage of the ability to stack at Target.  You can use one store coupon, one manufacturer coupon, AND a % off promo from pinwheel.  cartwheel is a new savings app through target- you can print from your computer OR download the iphone/ android app. Here is an example of a great stack deal this week.

Oscar Meyer lunch meats- 2/$6- buy 2 get 1 free
automatically you get 3 of them for $6
you then go to your swag bucks page and print 2 coupons for 55 cents off 1, then go to another computer and print another of the same coupon.

this takes $1.65 off, so it brings your total down to $4.45 for the 3 lunch meats.

there is also a target texted coupon for $1/1 that you can use TWICE, bringing your total to $2.45 for 3

now go to your cartwheel account and add the 10% off oscar meyer lunch meat to your account, which will take another 25 cents off, bringing your total to just 2.20 for 3 containers of good lunch meat, which is under 75 cents a piece.

another item this works well on this week is palmolive dish soap.  There is a printable coupon for 50 cents off 1 on swag bucks right now- you want to print 2 of those.  There is a $1/2 text coupon- these are on sale this week for $1.07, and there is a 10% cartwheel for palmolive as well. The transaction goes like this
buy 2 palmolives- 2.14 total
use 2 50 cents off 1 coupons- 1.14 total
use 1 1/2 text coupon- 0.14 total
use 10% off cartwheel that takes off 22 cents total- you make 8 cents for every 2 you buy :)

Look for Double Deals!

Sometimes, you can do better than FREE!!!  On a rare occassion, you can get a very high value coupon and get the product on sale, which gives you a small overage.  The trick is to search the products to find one that has a free sample or coupons inside the box.  Here is a great current example.
Today there is a link on www.hit2save.com sending you to a K-Y page on walmart's website.  If you relaod the page until the spinner on the right hand side lands on $10 then hit print, you get $10 off any ky yours n mine product.  The yours n mine date nights are on sale at CVS for $9.97, giving you a 0.03 overage, and you can print 2.  THEN, the boxes of date nights have a $10 coupon for any 2 movie tickets purchased.  If you have a student ID or a discount through your job, you will get in for under $5 for 2 people.  THEN, if you go to healthy essentials website and print the rebate form, you save the recipts from the KY and other products you purchase, and every $50 you spend gives you $46 in coupons for FREE, with proof of purchase...
in the morning I'm going to go purchase 8 of these items, which will all be free, and give me $80 in coupons to go to the movies.  I will then get several other items, bringing my before coupons total to $200, and pay NOTHING but tax, and I will get $188 in coupons back in the mail in return...

Today's Tip

It actually saves you more money to go to a store that will price match.  While you will get the same deals going to several different stores, you will waste gas and your valuable time.  Target will price match with the ad, and Walmart will price match without the ad.  Price Chopper will price match grocery items with the competitor's print ad.  However, if you live near a Weis, it is best to take advantage of their sales and coupon match ups in their store, as they will double the coupons up to $1.  You can price match and then use a coupon.  Some targets and most all the grocery stores allow you to stack a store coupon with a manufacturer's coupon.  Walmart does not accept competitor coupons, but SHOULD price match items down to the price you'd pay elsewhere after coupons and still allow you to use a manufacturer's coupon.  A current example of this woud be colgate toothpaste.  Colgate Sensitive Pro-Health retails at Walmart for $3.74 for the 4oz tube.  It is on sale for $2.50 at Rite Aid.  There is a target printable web coupon for $1 off any Colgate toothpaste, and last Sunday's paper had a manufacturer's coupon for $1 off any one colgate toothpaste.  You need to pricematch the $2.50, and present the target web coupon to the cashier before the item is scanned.  This SHOULD make the price $1.50.  Then when they scan your coupons at the end, the other $1 should come off, making this product .50.

Rants and Raves Pays Off!

Companies truely do like to know their customers are satisfied.  If you LOVE a product, and use it all the time, take 5 minutes to send a note to the company.  I use a ton of Proctor and Gamble products.  I emailed P&G directly, and have also emailed crest, downy, always, tampax, etc.  As a result, I get a box of free samples and high value coupons every month, for free.  When a new product comes out, I get a large sample and a coupon for a free regular sized item.  If you are unsatisfied with something you purchased, they want to know that too!  I had 4 high value One A Day coupons and used them to purchase VitaCraves vitamins.  3 of the bottles were very hard and difficult to chew.  I sent them a very short, very polite email telling them the product appeared to be stale.  Today they sent me an email stating they are so very sorry for the inconvenience and I can expect my 8 FREE ONE A DAY PRODUCT coupons in the next 7-10 days.  We are going to Split Rock Resort this weekend, and the reservationist was very rude to me.  When I was emailed the survey that goes along with the confirmation, I simply filled it out, and now we get free waterpark passes for our second day there and free bowling all night.  Many companies will give you very high value, printable coupons simply for liking them on facebook.  I got a $10 gift card for Victoria's Secret by liking their facebook page, and a $5 Bounty coupon for visiting their page at a specific time.
